STAMPTV CSS DT INSPIRATION BLOG HOP

Hey there blog friends!!!

The StampTV CSS Design Team is having an Inspiration blog hop and we're hoping you'll play along with us.

If you came here from the fabulously talented Brenda (who gave us this inspiration), then you're in the right place.  If not, you'll want to go back to the hop beginning so you don't miss one post because if you complete the hop and leave a comment on each post, you'll be entered in the drawing on Tuesday morning (May 15), when we will randomly choose one of the comments from all the blogs and that person will receive a huge grab bag of fabulous Gina K. Designs Stamps!

Brenda's fantastic inspiration

Here is my card

I love texture and what I got from the inspiration photo is the texture.  My eye immediately went to the brick wall, the flowers and the wicker basket.  I tried to pull them all into my project.  I thought the quilt added such a quaint comfort to this image so I placed my basket on it.

The stamps I used were Melanie Muenchinger's "Spring Basket".  The beautiful dp, which created the "quilt" and basket liner, in my project are from the new StampTV Kit "Petals and Wings".  The brick wall was made with a Sizzix ef that I first inked with Vivid "Tea Rose" ink pad before running it through the embossing machine.  I then sponged the panel with DI "forest moss" and "pumice stone" to age it.  The flowers and basket were colored with Copic markers.  All card stock is Gina K Pure Luxury white.  The corner scrolls were cut with a die and sponged with DI "forest moss".   The basket, liner and flowers were all popped with dimensionals.

Thank you for stopping by.  Your next stop is over to the blog of the super talented Geri (Brenda's mom) - I know she's going to wow you with her project. Before you go, don't forget to leave a comment - I'd LOVE IT if someone from my comments won the goodie bag!!!  Good luck!

BIG BOYS TOYS BLOG HOP

Hi there blog friends....what an exciting day this is for the Repeat Impressions Rock Stars at The House That Stamps Built!  We get to showcase a fabulous new stamp set Wendy has designed for all the guys in our lives!!!  The stamp set is called "Big Boys Toys" and it's fantastic!  Check it out!

This hop is going to be a tad different, because there's a game involve for you.  The game is "hidden phrase" and you have to find it.  Each Rock Star on this blog hop has been assigned one word for you to find in their blog post. The word will look a little different in font/color or size - we won't make it too easy, but it won't be too hard either.

Once you have visited each blog (and don't forget to leave a message so we know you were there), and collect all the words, they will make up a phrase.  When you unscramble the words and find the phrase, email it to wendy@repeatimpressions.com and tell her what you think the phrase is.  You'll then be entered into a drawing TWICE to win an unmounted sheet of Big Boys Toys stamp set!!!!  You will SO LOVE this set!

Have fun!  You can PICK any time of day to hop with us, but just be sure to get your answer to Wendy no later than 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 13, 2012.  The winner will be annoucned the following Monday, May 14 at The House That Stamps Built Blog.

Designer's Choice Challege At Repeat Impressions

Hi blog friends!!

I'm here today with another Designer's Choice Challenge from a Repeat Impressions.  In these challenges each member of the Rock Star DT picks a challenge for us to play and we are to create a card using the challenge.
It's Dawn's turn to challenge us and she has chosen a technique called "Double Dutch Fold".  I've never before created a card using this technique so I want to thank Dawn for giving us this challenge.  I had a lot of fun making my first double Dutch fold card.
Now we also challenge you to play along with us.  Make a double Dutch fold card, post it to your blog.  Copy the link to the post and then head on over to The House That Stamps Built blog and link it up.  You'll be entered in the challenge and have an opportunity to win some fabulous Repeat Impressions stamps.  All the details can be found on The House That Stamps Build Blog.

Check out the other fabulous Rock Stars and see their Double Dutch Fold Card. designs.

Thanks so much for stopping by - I look forward to seeing your double Dutch fold card creations!!

Exciting Day!

Hi blog friends,

I'm so excited to tell you this news!  The fantastic blog site, Outlawz, has asked me to be a member of their Fab CAS Challenge Design Team!  I'm so thrilled to be part of this ubar community of paper crafters. If you don't know of them, please drop by and check it out.

I hope you'll join us in the weekly challenges at Outlawz (you'll have to become a member and it's FREE)....Outlawz is a challenge blog with oodles of ways to get your craft on, AND you might just win one of the great prizes from their sensational sponsors.

Once a member, just click on the upper tab "challenges" and they all drop down for you to check them out and decide which ones to play along with.  It's easy and FUN!!!

Today is my first entry as a member of the design team.  The challenge is one from Amy and her challege is  "Travel related products are huge in paper crafting right now! As summer approaches, make a travel inspired card or project. (Think maps, transportation, postmarks...)"

This is an old stamp I've had for many years and I loved it when I bought it and I still love it.  It's from Inkadinkado called "Tin Can Mail".  Summer brings out bikers in many forms, and this is a card for all you bikers.  Motorized or otherwise.

I used both Copic alcohol markers and Atyou Spica pen to color the image.  Not sure if you can see the glitter here....but it's fabulous.

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to join us in this fun challenge at Outlawz
