Vintage Sympathy

Hi friends,

I thought I'd play along in a couple of challenges with this card.  Several of my friends at StampTV have posted gorgeous cards for a challenge over at Joan's Gardens blog for and I was inspired to play along.  This is my card for Joan's #2 challenge and Brenda's Inspiration Challenge over at StampTV this week.

CS:  GKD Pure Luxury White and Ivory.  DP:  Webster's Pages Petite Papers Lullaby Lane & Life's Portrait that I cut and pieced against a CB embossed background distressed with Tim Holtz, Antique Linen distress ink.  MS trellis punch was also used to enhance the layered background.  The sentiment is from GKD "Showtime Stamp Kit, Spring Mix" and was stamped with Vivid "Tea Rose", and cut in a Spellbinder Shapeabilities Ribbon Tag.  The ivory colored silk ribbon is from my stash as are the Prima Flowers.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks so much for stopping by.

Room With a View

Hi Friends,

Okay, I borrowed that title from the movie...."Room With a View"....still I do love a room with a view - preferably an outdoor view.  Here's a card I made for an inspiration challenge over at StampTV and here's the inspiration page.  I put all the deets on my page at StampTV.

Thanks for stopping by.

A COUPLE OF MASCULINE CARDS

I've been playing with some Copic markers and studying some techniques with inking/stamping/Copics on Theresa Momber's blog.  She has step by step instructions for some very cool looks for your cards.  The stamps I used are from the Gina K Designs "Gone Fishing" designed by Theresa Momber.

Here's Theresa's card that I CASE'd

My next card I made for a StampTV sketch challenge.  Again, I used the same stamp set.

You can check out the deets to both of these cards on my StampTV page.
I hope your day is a happy, productive and healthy one.
Thanks for stopping by.  See you next time.

Sketch 68 Challenge at Card Patterns

Good morning,

It's overcast and cool in Maine this morning, another great day for playing with stamps and paper, but I really better get some house chores done before I do that - to rid my guilt and some dust bunnies.  ;0)  I hope there's sun shine and warmth where you are.

I'm pretty excited today!  Tonight my husband, my mother and I will be heading for the Maine State Music Theater to see the musical "Always, Patsy Cline".  I've seen it before and I loved it, and since I'm a huge, Patsy Cline fan, I can't wait to see it again.  Woohoo!!

The card I'm posting this morning is the one I'm entering in this week's Card Patterns Sketch 68 Challenge.  Gina K Designs is sponsoring this week's challenge and the winner will receive TWO sets of GKD stamps.

Here's the sketch

Here's my card:  It's a two-fer!

Stamps:  GKD Showtime Stamp Kit - "Enjoy the Sunshine".
CS Paper:  GKD Pure Luxury Ivory, Dandelion and Grass Green.
DP Paper:  Cosmo Cricket "Garden Variety - Strawberry Fields".
Nesstabilities Petite Ovals and MS punches.  Ribbon is from my stash.

Technique to color the berries is colored pencils and OMS  and Gina K has a two part video tutorial to show you how to do this.  This card is  also being entered in the weekly "Blast from the Past" challenge on StampTV that Linda Payne is hosting.

I used Prismacolor pencils and Stickles to add dimension to the berries.

Thanks for stopping by - enjoy your day!
